Publicis has appointed a new President in Toronto, naming former CMO Brett McIntosh to the role. McIntosh will lead the strategic vision, growth, operations and client relations for the agency’s Toronto office, reporting to Duncan Bruce, CEO of Publicis Canada.
McIntosh has held a number of leadership positions during his 20-year career with Publicis. Prior to his role as CMO, he was VP, Managing Partner in Toronto, having earlier held the same position at the helm of the agency’s operations in Vancouver. McIntosh had also led a number of the agency’s high profile accounts including Rogers and FCA Chrysler.
“In his most recent role as CMO, Brett has worked incredibly collaboratively with every discipline, team and senior leader in the agency,” said Duncan Bruce, CEO, Publicis Canada. “He is an entrepreneur – a key driver of our growth story over recent years. He has helped shape both the vision of the agency, and the services and talent required to make it happen. And he’s successfully achieved this both in Canada and the USA. We’re excited about what is next with Brett elevated to this new role.”
“I’m honoured to be given this opportunity and responsibility. Duncan, Andrew and Yves have long been mentors of mine and this provides a chance to work even more closely with them,” said Brett McIntosh, President, Publicis Toronto. “We have a highly diversified agency and my focus will be to work with all teams to deliver on the needs of marketers today by creating the robust, integrated brand experiences their consumers expect. Champion the team and everything else falls into place.”
McIntosh adds, “With the addition and close collaboration of Epsilon (North America’s largest consumer data asset) with our existing data, media and CRM services, our ability to deliver one-to-one communications at scale across platforms and devices has now been supercharged.”
Publicis in Toronto works with a diverse roster of clients such as Fiat Chrysler, Rogers, Canada Post, Coca-Cola, Red Lobster North America, Sephora USA and RBC.
In his new role, McIntosh will continue to work closely with the national executive including Rachelle Claveau, President of Publicis Montreal; Christian Ayotte, President of Nurun; Alister Adams, VP Digital; Duncan Bruce, CEO and Yves Gougoux, Chairman.
