Knowledge is exponentially more powerful when it’s shared.
It is from that core belief that we created the Publicis Academy, an annual learning program that spans all of our marketing disciplines. Drawing from the pool of experienced and talented people in our agency, the Academy is designed to nurture and further educate our talented teams while doubling down on our core beliefs – commitment, creativity, curiosity and collaboration.
Launched in 2019, Pub Academy has had some rich sessions in the past year, starting with Jed Churcher, Creative Director, speaking about how body language can help you in your life and your career. Jana Masiewich, VP of Sponsorship & Events, opened our eyes to the ever-expanding world of e-Sports. Scott Pinkney, VP and ECD of Publicis Hawkeye and Vish Ramkissoon, VP of Decision Sciences, delivered their famous Art & Science of Data session.
Traditionally our Academy sessions are held in our office’s Clubhouse. But during these times of physical distancing, we’ve moved our learning platform online. We celebrated the first anniversary of the Pub Academy in April, with Chief Strategy Officer Andrea Isbester holding an interactive Zoom session to talk about the importance of strategy. At a time where we are witnessing one of the biggest social and cultural events of our lifetimes, Andrea underlined the need to understand the unique human needs and behaviour behind every brief before we can deliver meaningful, relevant communications.
Our May session featured David Han, Director of Experience Design and a Program Director of the renowned Miami Ad School, giving an address on The Age of Experience which he’d updated and adapted for the COVID-19 era.
And in our June edition, Jess Balter, VP of Client Solutions and Regina Azevedo, Director of Data Strategy, spoke about the use of data & insights as a true superpower.
As we all continue to adapt to the new realities of working from home in a business that was designed for human interactions, we’ll continue to invest in online education until the day we can meet again in person. Until the next session!
Pub Academy Lead
