In anticipation of International Women’s Day on March 8, the Driving Change Team planned an amazing week of celebrations that kicked off with a professional headshot session for the women of Publicis. You may have spotted their faces on posters around the office.
From March 2 to 9, we invited team members to declutter their closets and donate unwanted clothing to Sistering Toronto, a multi-service agency for at-risk, socially isolated women and trans people in all their diversity, who are homeless or precariously housed. After a week of collection, we were proud to donate a full truckload of socks, coats and other much needed items.
Publicis Toronto was proud to welcome international leadership speaker Tania DeSa for her keynote: The Power of Owning Your Value & Championing Others. In this high-energy talk, Tania demonstrated how owning your authentic brand is the key to getting ahead in our highly competitive industry. Attendees left feeling motivated and ready to own their own awesomeness.
We closed out an inspiring week with the IWD: Leaders & Allies panel featuring some of Publicis Toronto’s very own. During the hour-long chat, attendees got to hear personal insights about the state of diversity and inclusion in our industry today, and learn about the efforts we’re seeing to promote equality in the workplace.
Finally, after a well-deserved round of applause, the team shared a drink at Last Call before heading into IWD weekend. Cheers to women everywhere, all year long!
