Our Virtual Holiday Party

Agencies look forward to their holiday parties. It’s a chance for everyone to get together, and celebrate the good things that happened that year. It’s also one of the few opportunities we get to mingle with coworkers who we don’t interact with on a daily basis. As an agency, it’s also the perfect moment to show off our culture and what makes Publicis truly special – its people. 2020 may have kept us apart physically, but we weren’t about to let that stop us from throwing the best holiday party we could.

Behold, the Publicis Virtual Holiday Party. This wasn’t your average Zoom call. It was a Zoom shake-shake-shake the room extravaganza! Over 400 employees came together and rocked their choice of Zoom room where we could move around and interact with each other while participating in different activities.

Following a quick kick-off speech from our Executive Leadership Team, we made our way through various virtual party rooms where you could find:

  • The DJ Room with music playing and conversation flowing.
  • The Cooking Lesson Room with a live feed from a local Italian restaurant where a Nona and her son taught us how to make gnocchi. Some of us even followed along from our kitchens as we tried our best to emulate Nona’s expert techniques. Hilarity ensued.
  • The Mixology Room with a professional Mixologist who taught us how to make the perfect cocktail.
  • The Mentalist Room with two Mentalists who used the power of suggestion to read our minds.
  • The Holiday Trivia Room where employees joined teams to see who would be victorious.

At the end of the evening, all employees came back together in one room for some epic gift giveaways including games, tablets, gift cards and more. It was quite the festive feeding frenzy.

All in all, the Publicis Virtual Holiday Party was a success. It gave us the opportunity to get creative, and most importantly it showed us that the Publicis spirit doesn’t stop just because we aren’t in the same building. It continues on, in all its virtual-backgrounds, festive-filters, pyjama-pants glory.
